Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Provide in-depth knowledge of vaccine manufacturing platforms and technology evolutions, and lead technical teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Process Management: Develop and implement process change management and improvement strategies, ensuring compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices and US/EU/ROW regulations.
  • Digital Solutions: Apply digital solutions across vaccine unit operations and technology, driving efficiency and innovation.
  • Team Management: Manage and influence individual and team performance, defining priorities and organizing people and activities to achieve goals.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with customers, senior management, and co-workers, and interact with customers in other functions and beyond.

Requirements:

  • Education: BSc, MSc or PhD in a related scientific discipline such as chemical engineering, chemistry, pharmacy, or pharmaceutical engineering.
  • Experience: Ph.D. 15+ years' experience or MS 18+ years' or BS 20+ years' in a Scientific, Biochemistry, chemical or pharmaceutical engineering, or related field, with 7-10+ years of experience in leading technical teams.
  • Skills: Excellent management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to set ambitious goals and successfully drive results.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Independence: Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments and delivery of the GSK GCS strategy without direction.
  • Stress Management: Ability to perform within a dynamic and stressful environment and to remain calm under pressure and during conflict.
  • Leadership: Background and experience in leading platform / technology / manufacturing teams, with the ability to lead and manage groups with specialist expertise.
  • Analysis: Ability to analyze problems, practices, or procedures to define the problem or objective, identify relevant concerns or factors, and formulate logical and objective conclusions.
