Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Logistics Supervisor to join our team at Oil and Gas Job Search Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the logistics operations at our service harbors, ensuring safe and efficient vessel and cargo operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign berths for vessels and barges, coordinating with Port Control and Radio Room.
  • Supervise all vessel and barge movements, including entry, departure, berthing, and un-berthing.
  • Conduct Permit to Work duties, including area inspections, as authorized signatory where permitted.
  • Ensure adherence to a safe system of work for all activities within service harbors, in accordance with operational needs and permit requirements.
  • Provide on-site supervision of cargo operations to ensure safe and efficient operation, in accordance with work permit conditions.
  • Supervise and conduct safety checks for vessels loading and discharging fuel.
  • Carry out frequent safety, operational, and housekeeping inspections within the harbor.
  • Ensure HSE policy, procedures, regulations, and objectives are effectively implemented.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Marine Team Leader.
  • Plan, supervise, and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
  • Train and develop assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient in their job and deliver section objectives.
Requirements
  • Marine Certification (minimum 1st Mate) with a minimum of 2 years as a senior officer on board vessels with experience of operations and maintenance at oil terminals.
  • At least 5 years of work experience in the logistics function within the oil and gas industry.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as an officer serving on oil tankers.
  • Very good knowledge of the English language. Some spoken Arabic would be an advantage.
