Logistics Assistant Role
Zahr Freighters is seeking a highly organized and proactive Logistics Assistant to join our team in Dubai. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods within our supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the supply storage and distribution of products while providing critical support to various departments, customers, and carriers.
- Manage transfer orders from production facilities to central buffers, including tracking Direct Store Delivery (DSD) and related documentation.
- Print and manage inventory count sheets, collaborating with warehouse staff to reconcile inventories daily and ensure the First-In-First-Out (FIFO) method is followed.
- Coordinate pick releases and pick slips for each delivery day by customer and carrier.
- Organize and coordinate the supply storage and distribution of goods, serving as a liaison between departments, customers, and carriers.
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and tracking shipments.
- Communicate load requirements both externally and internally to key stakeholders promptly.
- Perform data analysis and report on performance, identify logistical issues, and assist in developing improvement plans.
- Investigate and resolve delivery concerns raised by the Sales and Retail Department, ensuring customer satisfaction in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Report on warehouse pick accuracy, on-time carrier performance by warehouse and customer, and inventory movement under the direction of the Logistics Supervisor.
- Process VQA requirements for sub-inventory movements (Sales Hold Bottle Aging, etc.).
- Provide administrative support to the East Logistics Team as needed.
- Perform and document all quantity and quality inspections under the direction of the Logistics Supervisor.
- Provide exceptional internal and external customer service.
- Handle miscellaneous receipts and distribution of equipment and materials into Oracle.
- Support physical inventory counts at various locations as required.
- Track and file all HACCPrequired documents for the Logistics Department.
- Attend all required meetings as directed by the Logistics Supervisor.
- Follow all safe work procedures and report unsafe conditions to the Logistics Supervisor.
- Assist with customer order picking when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in Production/Manufacturing or Business Administration preferred.
- Experience managing large volumes of order processing with a focus on order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Forklift/Electric Pallet Jack experience.
- Proficiency in computers, Microsoft Office, and ERP systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Dubai.
