Parsons Oman is seeking a highly skilled Highway Design Manager to lead our team in Dubai, UAE. As a technical expert in roadway design, you will be responsible for guiding a large team of engineers, ensuring project designs meet client expectations, and championing advanced 3D design methodologies and digital engineering evolution.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the conduct of design reviews and participate in Value Engineering Workshops and regular design coordination meetings.
- Establish program requirements for all areas of the program and monitor draft and final deliverables for adherence to these criteria.
- Promote technical excellence on the program, including furtherance of the Quality Improvement Process and best practice digital engineering design workflow processes.
- Ensure compliance of design with all applicable codes, regulations, and company procedures and standards.
- Monitor and report to management on the progress of all project activity within the program.
- Degree in civil engineering from a reputable institution.
- Minimum 18 years experience in roads and highway design with experience leading a team.
- Prior experience in a lead capacity with excellent written and oral communications skills, and a familiarity of industry practices and regulations.
- Must also possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on project.
- Outstanding analysis and problem-solving capabilities.
- High creativity/innovation in concepts and design solutions.
- Outstanding communications skills, both written and oral.
