Job Description

We are seeking an experienced lifeguard to join our team at Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Your primary responsibility will be to observe the swimming area for dangerous conditions, unusual or unsafe activities, and swimmers who are struggling.

You will use appropriate rescue techniques if observing swimmers in need of assistance and promote the rules and regulations of the recreation facility.

If you are aware of possible situations where guests are not able to safely participate in an activity, you will inform your supervisor/manager.

In the event of an injury, you will provide assistance to the guest until the arrival of emergency medical services.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the swimming area for potential hazards and respond accordingly.
  • Use rescue techniques to assist swimmers in distress.
  • Promote safety rules and regulations to guests.
  • Inform management of any incidents or near-misses.

Requirements:

  • Lifeguard certification (e.g., Red Cross)
  • Experience working as a lifeguard in a high-volume pool environment
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations
  • Excellent communication skills
