The Role of Director, Field Sales EMEA

This role has a split-line reporting to: Senior Vice President, Sales and VP Commercial (EMEA). The Director of Field Sales is responsible for providing strategic leadership support to the on-property sales teams within the defined region (EMEA).

This highly collaborative position requires exceptional communication and relationship-building skills. The individual must be a self-starter who is motivated and proactive in identifying gaps and opportunities and must be able to lead and engage with other internal and external team members who do not have a direct reporting relationship.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and enhance sales effectiveness across multiple properties in the region.
  • Partner with VP Commercial and SVP Sales to drive revenue growth across transient, group, and F&B / catering segments.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with global commercial objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, RM, Digital, PR, Analytics) to optimize the hotel sales distribution strategy.
  • Guide sales teams in pre-openings and conversions, ensuring seamless transitions and successful market entries.
  • Monitor and analyze market conditions to adjust sales strategies for maximum impact.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, hospitality management, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in a similar leadership role within the luxury hotel industry, with extensive experience in sales, with ten years' experience of increasing or expanding scope as a proven leader in a hospitality environment which includes direct sales experience.
  • Understanding of how to drive profitability, build high-performing teams, and leverage cross-functional collaboration to achieve commercial success.
  • This role will include 40% travel, as required by the business to support the role.
