Talent Pal is seeking a highly skilled Tax and Legal Services Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Indirect Tax practice, you will play a critical role in helping our clients navigate the complexities of tax obligations and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their tax needs and develop tailored solutions to optimize their tax strategies.
  • Provide expert advice on VAT/GST compliance, including technical review of draft returns and exception reports.
  • Manage high-quality deliverables and contractual scope to ensure delivery against compliance obligations.
  • Support clients with compliance advisory services, including health checks, voluntary disclosures, and refund requests.
  • Lead client implementations for Insource engagements and support the ITX technology implementation in the Middle East.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with clients, providing intelligent and creative solutions to their tax issues.
  • Conduct demos to prospective clients for insourcing and outsourcing of the ITX technology.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the global team for functional request updates and changes required in the technology for the region.
  • Manage and support clients with their tax requirements in the region, ensuring timely invoicing and settlement.
  • Stay up-to-date with legislation and practical changes impacting VAT compliance.

Requirements:

  • Strong accounting knowledge and experience with ITX Edge.
  • Onboarding experience from outsource and/or insource.
  • Good VAT technical knowledge and UAE VAT experience preferred.
  • Knowledge in automation and dashboarding tools (i.e. Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau).
  • ERP knowledge and previous experience in a VAT-related role.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to develop less experienced team members.
  • Self-organizational skills, with a strong desire to succeed and a commitment to team working.
  • Commercial mindset, driven to improve processes and deliver business solutions cost-effectively.
