**Job Summary**:
The Butcher Associate will be responsible for preparing and cutting meat products according to established standards, ensuring quality, freshness, and customer satisfaction. The jobholder should have expertise in meat cutting techniques, knowledge of various cuts, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

**Core Responsibilities**:
The individual is responsible for several key tasks; this includes cutting, trimming, and preparing various cuts of meat according to customer preferences and specifications, ensuring accuracy in portion control and adherence to quality standards. They are also tasked with displaying meat products in an appealing and organized manner to attract customers, while monitoring and rotating stock to maintain freshness. Quality control is paramount, as they inspect meat products for quality, freshness, and proper labeling, and dispose of expired or spoiled products following established procedures. Additionally, providing excellent customer service is essential, as they assist customers in selecting meat products, provide information on cuts, cooking methods, and recommendations, and fulfill customer orders promptly and accurately. Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the butchery area is crucial for sanitation and safety purposes, and they must follow safety protocols and guidelines for the proper handling of knives and equipment. Lastly, they are responsible for monitoring and managing meat inventory levels, reporting shortages or excess inventory to the relevant personnel to ensure efficient inventory management.

**People Management**:
Collaboration with other kitchen staff and management to coordinate product offerings and promotions.

**Functional and Technical Competencies**:
Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.
