**Job Title**: Kitchen Porter

**Job Summary**:
The Kitchen Porter is responsible for supporting kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with basic food preparation tasks, and ensuring that kitchen equipment and tools are in good condition. This role plays a critical part in the overall efficiency and hygiene of the kitchen, allowing chefs and kitchen staff to focus on food preparation and service.

**Key Responsibilities**:
## 1. Cleaning and Hygiene:
1. **Wash and sanitize** dishes, pots, pans, cutlery, and kitchen tools.

2. **Clean kitchen surfaces**, including countertops, floors, and walls, by sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.

3. **Empty and clean** waste bins and dispose of trash properly.

4. **Maintain a clean and organized** kitchen environment, ensuring that all areas are tidy and free of clutter.

## 2. Food Preparation Support:
1. **Assist with basic food preparation tasks**, such as washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits.

2. **Organize and prepare ingredients** for kitchen staff, ensuring that they are ready for cooking.

3. **Support the kitchen team** with other prep tasks as needed, including assembling dishes and plating food.

## 3. Inventory and Storage:
1. **Assist in the organization and storage** of kitchen supplies and ingredients.

2. **Monitor inventory levels** and report any shortages or issues to the Kitchen Supervisor.

3. **Ensure proper storage** of food items, following food safety regulations.

## 4. Kitchen Organization:
1. **Ensure that kitchen areas** are kept tidy and organized, including storage rooms and prep areas.

2. **Assist with setting up and breaking down** kitchen stations before and after service.

3. **Support kitchen staff** during busy periods by helping with various tasks.

## 5. Health and Safety:
1. **Follow all health and safety regulations**, including the proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

2. **Adhere to food safety guidelines**, ensuring that food preparation areas are clean and safe.

3. **Report any safety hazards** or equipment malfunctions to the Kitchen Supervisor immediately.

## 6. General Assistance:
1. **Provide general support** to the kitchen staff and chefs as required.

2. **Assist with deliveries** and the storage of incoming supplies.

3. **Be available to help** with any additional tasks or special requests from the kitchen team.

**Qualifications**:
1. **Previous experience** in a similar role is preferred but not required.

2. **Basic knowledge** of kitchen hygiene and food safety practices.

3. **Ability to work effectively** in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.

4. **Strong attention to detail** and organizational skills.

5. **Physical stamina** to handle the demands of the role, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.

6. **Good communication skills** and the ability to follow instructions.

7. **Willingness to learn** and adapt to the needs of the kitchen.

**Working Conditions**:

- The Kitchen Porter works in a fast-paced kitchen environment, often during peak hours.
- The role requires physical activity, including lifting, standing, and moving around the kitchen.
- Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on the establishment’s operating hours.

Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
