**Position**:Analyst

**Job Purpose**: The job purpose majorly comprises out-in insights that the individual brings along from across sectors and the problem solving approach to focus on business profitability and growth. The individual will also be required to do periodic business performance review, investment analysis & planning by conducting industry & market analysis in order to maximize the value of the business.

**Key Tasks**

**1. Business Review & Investment**
- Understand the technical and operational business needs, processes and key success factors of the portfolio businesses
- Identify the top level performance factors and assess the gap between current business performance and target performance
- Study the strategy of similar businesses, understand best investment practices of competitors and work along with the business to carve out the future direction
- Define investment areas, build databases, financial models and forecast to formulate investment recommendations
- Evaluate and compares the relative quality of various securities, financial instruments in the equity space to provide insights for investment decisions
- Utilize all available resources including financial information for preparing and presenting regular reports on the business’s progress to the team
- Provide comparative analysis and market insights on the performance of the business in comparison to competitors and recommend needed turnarounds and corrective actions for underperforming businesses

**_2. _Market Research**
- Provide reliable market and business intelligence data to support business decision making for investments
- Predict, analyze and evaluate risk quotient for investments based on historic data and provide the data to business team for making investment decisions
- Conduct and manage research on various economic and market indicators. Provide analysis and reports on industry market trends internationally and regionally as well as studying technology and consumer trends
- Develop the macro-market intelligence process from collection to dissemination and archiving to ensure the provision of required information
- Design and maintain maintenance of a database of international and regional benchmarks. Collect relevant data across the businesses as required in order to maintain an updated and comprehensive database
- Support the Sr. Associate/ Associate in industry or sector focused financial reports and ensures they are provided in an accurate and precise manner
- Ensure that reports and analysis are accurately formulated and designed and ensures that valuations through financial modelling are executed with the correct assumptions
- Ensures all the reports and analysis generated and produced are communicated to the key stakeholders within reasonable timelines

**Qualification**

MBA Finance

**Experience**

2 to 5 years of relevant work experience.
