The position will carry the responsibility for being Chief Operating Officer GCC (UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar). In this role the COO will organize synergies within assets of GCC (UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar) and PGMs / Site Managers of O&M companies.

**Purpose of the Job**

**The COO will be responsible for the day to day management of the operational companies covering all generating assets and the fleet maintenance business. As COO, he will make sure** that HS&E requirements are carefully implemented and followed in all the assets, all possible synergies between assets are implemented to be maximized for the benefit of all parties, and the P&L of the operational company are maximizing Shareholders’ return.**:
Reporting Line

The COO GCC will report to the Managing Director of GCC
The COO shall:

- Ensure the contractual requirements of the Company’s shareholders, and clients are delivered consistently and accurately.
- Ensure the facilities are managed and operated in safety and reliable manner that enables achievement of the required availability, environmental performance, and efficiency.
- Ensure that all required regulatory, H&S, client, and stakeholder reporting obligations are carried out accurately, on time and are in compliance with, or exceed applicable requirements.
- Work closely to the VP of TOS at AMEA level ensuring that all applicable initiatives in the areas of HSSE, Operation Excellence, Digital Projects and optimization drives are adequately rolled out to the O&M Companies.
- Strive to synergize across all fleet of O&M Companies and with the team members of the VP of TOS at AMEA.

The COO’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Development of business objectives, strategies and procedures to achieve the performance standards, targets and obligations as set forth in the OMA.
- Responsibility for the P&L of the company and maximizing Shareholders’ return on the investment while meeting the contractual obligations of the OM Company.
- The formulation of business plans, which will include long term and annual operating plans and budgets.
- Approve and oversee departmental performance Key Performance Indicators (KPI) aligned with plan objectives.
- Development and implementation of the organization structure.
- Fostering good industrial relations in each site and among the fleet.
- Implementation and maintenance of systems and procedures to ensure efficient, reliable, safe and environmentally compliant plant operations.
- Fostering good relationships with key local groups and communities;
- Conduct emergency prevention and response planning and act as regulatory liaison to local, regional, and federal officials and government agencies.
- Liaison with the EPC Contractor and the Owner during the commissioning and testing of the Plant.
- Ensuring internal processes are implemented so that the Plant complies with Owner's safety standards, local and national standards, and the other standards required under the PPA.
- Creating and maintaining a working environment to enable the Plant to meets its performance requirements.
- Assuming a leadership role in the area of HS&E and upholding as a core value. Be responsible for development, implementation, continuous improvement and reporting of Health, Safety & Environmental management systems, structure of the organization and policies for safe and reliable operation & maintenance of the Plants and safety of personnel.
- Developing, implementing and maintaining the assets business plans, including; facility budgets, resource requirement, and risk analysis and review.
- Minimizing losses and risk exposure through consistent risk review and mitigation strategy.
- The accountability for the overall administration and execution of the terms under the Operations and Maintenance Agreements, Long term service Agreements in the day to day operation of the facilities, maximizing profitability in line with reasonable commercial efforts and within generally acceptable good industrial practice.
