For a leading hospital in Abu Dhabi required Surgical Patient Coordinator

The Surgical Coordinator assumes responsibility for all activities related to the successful completion and follow up of all scheduled and unscheduled surgeries/procedures.
- Works in conjunction with the Surgeon, Nursing teams, Pre-Admission Testing Department, OR Schedulers, House Supervisor, & PAVE (finance team) to ensure smooth throughput and coordination of all surgeries/procedures

**JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Reviews all case requests for accuracy and communicates errors to concerned caregivers
- Places cases on snap board in line with allocated surgical blocks schedules
- Provides patient with a mutually agreeable surgery/procedure date (follow scheduling script)
- Communicates and coordinate patient date of surgery with PAVE department to ensure patient is financially cleared prior to surgery.
- Schedules Pre-Admission Testing and PASS appointment collaborating with PAT/PASS nursing team to ensure medical clearance prior to surgery date.
- Reviews daily Pre-Admission Testing no show reports and communicates with physician as required
- Calls patient prior to surgery/procedure as per institute guidelines to confirm date of surgery and documents in Procedure Pass
- Ensures all written/verbal (Calls and SMS) communication with patients is clearly documented in Procedure Pass
- Maintains provider schedules for designated institute and coordinates multiple physician schedules, along with Template Builder
- Coordinates services as requested by patient, surgeon or proceduralist
- Ensures patients' special needs are communicated to the multidisciplinary team and documented in the case request
- Reschedules surgical patients as per patient/physician request
- Removes patient from schedule as per physician request
- Schedules post-op follow-up appointment with physician
- Coordinates daily with OR scheduling office

**QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**

Education
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred in specific healthcare profession such as nursing, Pharmacist, GP Doctor or other equivalent profession (No License )

**Experience**
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in same role within UAE.
- Knowledge of Medical Terminologies
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact successfully with all levels of personnel
- Exceptional written and verbal communication are essential
- The ability to handle multiple tasks
- Must treat all information and data within the scope of the position with appropriate confidentiality
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
- Ability to function independently and as a team

**- Ability to speak and write in Arabic & English is a mus**t.

Pay: Up to AED7,000.00 per month
