Hydraulic Mechanic

Perform routine maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on hydraulic systems and components. This may include hydraulic pumps, valves, cylinders, motors, hoses, fittings, and associated equipment.
- Identify and diagnose hydraulic system issues using diagnostic tools, test equipment, and hydraulic schematics. Determine the root cause of problems and develop effective repair strategies.
- Replace or repair damaged or worn hydraulic components as needed. This may involve disassembling hydraulic equipment, inspecting parts for wear or damage, cleaning components, and reassembling equipment according to specifications.
- Install new hydraulic systems and components according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards. This may include assembling hydraulic systems, connecting hoses and fittings, and ensuring proper alignment and operation.
- Test hydraulic systems to ensure proper functionality, performance, and safety. Adjust hydraulic pressure, flow rates, and control settings as necessary to meet operating requirements and specifications.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to extend the lifespan of hydraulic systems and minimize downtime. This may include changing hydraulic fluids, lubricating moving parts, inspecting seals and gaskets, and replacing filters.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and equipment inspections. Document test results, adjustments made, and any recommendations for future maintenance or repairs.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures when working with hydraulic systems, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), lockout/tagout procedures, and compliance with relevant safety regulations and standards.
- Coordinate with other maintenance technicians, engineers, and equipment operators to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of hydraulic systems. Communicate effectively with team members to address maintenance needs and prioritize tasks.

Qualification:
Prior experience in Marine Industry is highly preferred. Salary to be discussed upon interview.
