Key Results Areas
- Support the Finance Manager in the financial administration of the business.
- Close month end for the Planet company, post journal entries with supporting documentation.
- Preparation of Monthly invoicing and Monthly Reporting.
- Monitoring and control of general accounts
- Monitoring of tax obligations and reporting
- Tracking of tax balances
- Generate monthly direct debit instruction for settlement of invoices.
- Process and invoice intercompany recharges and reconcile the control account.
- Check partner invoices and settle payments on schedule.
- Posting and reconciling bank accounts on a regular basis.
- Debtors and creditors control to include monitoring aged reports, settlement and allocation of payments.
- Processing of invoices to general accounts and systems.
- Engage with auditors and tax advisors when required by the Finance Manager.
- Assist the Finance Manager and the finance team with ad hoc projects.
- Engage with other departments (e.g. Operations Support) to ensure they have the right financial information and vice versa.
- Liase with internal stakeholders and external partners, customers as appropriate in a professional manner
Required Skills and Experience
- Qualified Accountant with minimum years accounting experience. (ACCA, AAT or equivalent)
- User knowledge of an accounting package e.g. Sage desirable.
- Strong comprehension of accounting principles.
- Proven organisational, planning and communication skills.
- Good technical and analytical aptitude.
- Excellent IT skills.
