We were rated 'Outstanding' by KHDA and BSO and won the Happiest School in the UAE in 2023. Safa Community School is an all-through UK curriculum school, from FS1 to Year 13, with 2,400 on roll. We pride ourselves on our high standards across all aspects of school life. This includes high academic progress and a wide variety of extra-curricular success.
**General Professional Responsibilities**:
The professional duties of a sports coach shall be deemed to include the following duties:
- Organising, planning and delivering Early Morning Sports Clubs sessions/training (6.40 -7.25am).
- Organising, planning and delivering After School Sports Clubs sessions/training.
- Assisting with the delivery of younger years PE and Swim Lessons.
- **_ Be able to lead, drive and deliver high quality coaching sessions in Football._**:
- **_ Being able to take Sports Squads in the following Sports would be an advantage: Rugby, Basketball, Athletics, Volleyball._**:
- Lead and assist with the delivery on of PE Curriculum during the school day.
- Be willing to fully commit to after school and weekend fixtures to support our involvement in local tournaments including the BSME, WSG and DASSA organisations.
- Maintaining good order and discipline among the students he/she is coaching.
- Participating in departmental meetings.
- Participating in administrative and organisational tasks in order to ensure the smooth running of the department.
- Working collaboratively to support teachers in curriculum delivery.
- Carrying out other tasks as reasonably directed by the Head of Department.
- Being supportive of UAE initiatives and cultural expectations.
- **_ Will hold relevant qualifications._**:
- Most importantly should be enthusiastic about sport and be able to convey this to students.
- Be an outstanding coach with the ability to demonstrate outstanding practice and progress of students.
- Works effectively as part of a team.
- Actively keeps up to date with the developments in their field.
- Has a willingness to develop as a professional, taking opportunities to train further within the department, or outside to progress in their career.
