Medical Receptionist

We are seeking a competent and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare facility. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of the front desk. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting patients, scheduling appointments, managing patient records. We are looking for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses excellent communication skills, and has a strong attention to detail.
**Responsibilities**:
1. Greet patients and visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience.
2. Answer phone calls promptly and professionally, addressing inquiries, scheduling appointments, and providing accurate information.
3. Schedule patient appointments, coordinating availability with healthcare providers and maintaining an organized appointment calendar.
4. Verify patient information and insurance details, ensuring accuracy and completeness for billing and records purposes.
5. Collect, update, and maintain patient records, including personal information, medical history, and insurance data.
6. Assist patients with completing necessary forms and documentation, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and internal protocols.
7. Coordinate patient flow by directing and escorting patients to appropriate departments or examination rooms.
9. Process and file medical records, lab reports, and other confidential documents in accordance with established procedures.
10. Collaborate with healthcare providers and other staff members to ensure efficient patient care delivery and effective communication.
11. Handle billing and payment transactions, including verifying insurance coverage, collecting co-pays, and processing payments accurately.
12. Assist in the coordination of referrals to specialists, obtaining necessary authorizations, and scheduling appointments as required.
13. Stay updated on office policies, procedures, and regulations to provide accurate and consistent information to patients and staff.
14. Adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines and protect patient privacy and sensitive information.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma minimum ; additional certification in medical office administration is a plus.
2. Proven experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting.
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, staff, and external parties.
4. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage a busy front desk and handle various responsibilities simultaneously.
5. Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and insurance processes.
6. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate and complete records.
7. Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations and handle sensitive information with discretion.
8. Strong customer service orientation and a genuine desire to help and support others.
9. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules, including evenings, weekends, and occasional overtime.
**Salary**: AED3,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
