**Title: Medical Underwriter**

Are you looking for a career with one of the leading insurance brokers in the UAE. We are looking for a Medical Underwriter to join our diverse team.

**Responsibilities**:
1) Analyse and reviews quotations (new cases & renewals) as requested by the Financial Advisors

2) Receives quotation templates and ensures all information provided is accurate and complete.

3) Verifies all relevant client information provided by the clients/sales

4) Based on the quotation template and data provided by the sales team/clients assess the level of risk and adjusts the rates accordingly for further processing.

5) Approves / denies the quotation based on risk assessment according to authority levels

6) Analyse current year claims utilisation in order to prepare renewals terms for all relevant clients.

7) Prepare quotes for various products for clients that may require policy schemes

8) Responds to general queries about pricing from the Sales Department, providing them with all necessary information for the client.

9) Participates in performing renewal calculations/ assessment on monthly basis for cases due for renewal within the approved authority and refer cases above the authority to immediate manager.

10) Assists in preparing monthly and quarterly Claim/ Loss ratio reports for the Senior Management.

11) Assists Team Leader in management of day-to-day work by involving in work allocation, priority setting, review and update of procedures, involvement along with Manager in training’s and presentations.

12) Updates the Line manager on the work volumes, pending, review of SLA discussion and involvement with system projects and any other projects that can help simplify work and improve the service.

13) Prepares quotes in line with market trends and working in line with regulatory (DHA/IA/HAAD) guidelines.

14) Carries out any such other task as requested by the Line Manager.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Proven medical insurance underwriting experience.
- Sound technical knowledge of medical insurance products.
- Effective communication and people skills.
- Experience in handling Microsoft Office Tools and Analytical tools
- Praktora System experience is a plus.
