ISP Regional Head of After School Activities (ASA)

Role Profile

Purpose of Role

The Regional Head of After School Activities (ASA) role is a critical role within the regional team with responsibility for managing a full P&L, with financial, strategic and operational responsibility. The role is responsible for ensuring optimisation of facility usage during and out of school hours, as well as enhancing and improving the financial operations and governance of the school environment. The Head of ASA is responsible for the effective smooth running of the various activities within the After School programme. The role will oversee operations, planning and developing programs that provide immense value to participants as well as increase profitability by promoting the ASA programmes within the school and local area.

The key strategic objectives for this position include:

- Optimizing overall profitability of all non-tuition fee related revenue through increased facility utilization and improved commercial terms - covering sports, theatre and all other revenue generating activities.
- Owning relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Creating a culture of accountability which supports the organizational values
- Meeting or exceeding challenging annual growth objectives
- Facilitating interdepartmental collaboration
- Implementation of major business initiatives

ISP ASA Key Responsibilities
- Analyze operations to evaluate the performance of the company and its staff in order to meet objectives, and to determine areas of potential cost reduction, program/revenue improvement, or policy change
- Direct and lead the team in becoming the best provider for after school activities in the catchment area
- Direct and coordinate the organization's financial and budget activities in order to fund operations, maximize investments, increase revenue and improve efficiency
- Financial literacy to be able to prepare and present reports concerning activities, expenses, budgets, government statutes and rulings, and other items affecting businesses or program services to Regional Office
- Direct and coordinate activities of businesses concerned with planning, pricing, sales, and/or distribution of programs
- Negotiate or approve contracts and agreements with third party vendors where required
- Develop annual budgets for approval, including those for funding and implementation of programs
- Schedule and monitor continued training seminar for staff on various operational, safety, and legal responsibilities
- Strong team leadership and ability to coach, mentor, train and develop team members.
- Support with Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) tasks if they require additional support.

Health and Safety
- Emphasizes the importance of safety in all areas of the curriculum, communicating to the pupils the importance of a responsible attitude towards personal safety, the safety of others and respect for school property and equipment
- Perform playground duties on time and with due diligence to safeguard Hamilton students
- Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities
- Assist in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct
- Ensure that, all the necessary health and safety rules and procedures are being followed
- Maintain an awareness of all the health and safety measures to be taken when in any of our schools

Other duties and responsibilities

Any other duties that may be required from time to time. These are typical work responsibilities, but responsibilities are not only limited to the mentioned ones. ISP ME reserves the right to add or change responsibilities by communicating in writing to the employee.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

**Education**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in from an accredited institution
- Degree in business management, sports management, marketing, hospitality, food and beverage, related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience leading a venue operation including P&L responsibility
- Language:

- Fluent spoken and written English is mandatory
- Arabic is an advantage but not essential

Required Skills and Knowledge

Competencies:

- Prior responsibility/experience in daily P&L management and budget oversight responsibility of AED 4 mil
