Located in the historic Karaköy district, the hotel will feature 177 opulent guestrooms and a glamourous rooftop, forming part of the Salıpazarı Port re-development, which also features a cruise terminal, public squares, restaurants, and museums. As we continue to expand the pre-opening team, The Peninsula Istanbul is seeking to hire a forward-thinking and creative Executive Chef to oversee all culinary operations.

**Key accountabilities**
- Manage all aspects of the kitchen including pre-opening planning and post opening operations (budgeting, forecasting, capex resource planning, labour management, waste management, etc.), food quality and administrative functions.
- Create recipes and menus, and pricing in accordance with marketing, cost control, and profit objectives.
- Anticipate and evaluate the market needs pertaining to the culinary expectations, considering the local market, guest mix, and industry and competitive trends to recommend appropriate product/service and operational changes to ensure guest
- Instigate a continuous improvement mindset in the department to drive employee engagement and maintain market positioning with exceptional financial returns.
- Maintains and set adherence standards for product quality, consistency, presentation, portioning, garnishment, and utilization goals
- Develop positive customer relations through proactive interaction with Guests, Team Members, contractors, and suppliers
- Work in synergy with the Food and Beverage leader to ensure that the divisional are achieved and well communicated.

**General requirements**
- Minimum of 5 years in a similar position at a luxury hotel or large hospitality group as an Executive Chef.
- Experience working in the pre-opening of a luxury hotel is required.
- Exceptional creative abilities and extensive menu development and budget preparation experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills and leadership skills to engage and motivate key stakeholders, especially colleagues. Passion for creating exceptional guest and colleague experiences
- Fluent in English language proficiency.
