HSBC Commercial Banking serves millions of businesses ranging from small, to large corporates, providing commercial customers with a full range of banking services including Global Trade and Receivables Finance, RMB solutions, multi-currency business accounts, payments and cash management, and wealth management and insurance, as well as a comprehensive range of financing solutions. With dedicated Relationship Managers and Product Specialists providing local support and advice in over 60 countries and territories, HSBC helps connect customers to opportunities. This role exists within the ISB business which is a significant contributor of revenue to CMB and consists of a network of dedicated bankers across more than 60 countries.

We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Commercial Banking team, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.

**In this role, you will**:

- Grow sustainable revenues from the existing customer portfolio and through targeted acquisition of new quality customers
- Proactively grow international and cross border revenue and assist the team deliver key business development initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with other Global Businesses, Product and Service Partners to identify opportunities to connect customers to opportunities and strengthen the relationship
- Develop effective strategies to manage customer relationships, anticipate customer needs and provide a superior quality service to position HSBC as the market leader in this segment
- Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of customer information, including Know your Customer (KYC) requirements, in Group systems
- Keep abreast of external factors influencing international business e.g. economic, cultural, geographical, procedural and regulatory requirements
- Establish an effective working relationship with Risk in order to validate the accuracy of the customer risk profile, and ensure sustainable asset growth
- Maintain a proactive calling programme to service clients, ensuring senior management and key stakeholders for large corporate clients are contacted regularly
- Help customers draw on the HSBC group network by working closely with other Commercial Banking (CMB) countries and Product and Service partners
- Build and Manage a team of Junior Relationship managers of Internation Banking Team (IBT) Direct and support the overall ISB and IBT with growing the International subsidiary business
- Lead team development, effectiveness and success by sharing knowledge and good practice, working collaboratively with others to create a productive, diverse and supportive working environment
- Adhere to HSBC policy, procedures and control requirements applicable to day-to-day working, exceptional and project activities, and raise any concerns about actual or potential issues promptly, in line with reporting and escalation procedures

Requirements

**To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements**:

- Strong corporate banking and relationship management experience
- Solid corporate banking product knowledge
- Proven track record in business development, identifying opportunities, and successfully on-boarding of new clients
- Excellent leadership skills
- Proven experience in stakeholder management and
- Regional experience preferred
- Experience in managing and growing a portfolio
- Ability to position bank propositions for the region
- Strategic thinking and high level of business acumen and commercial awareness
- Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills
- Graduation degree is a must - to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit
