New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to appoint an Ahtletics Programming Coordinator, reporting to the Director of Athletics.

The Athletics Programming Coordinator will provide general administration and logístical delivery support across all areas of athletics programming; University Sports Teams, Campus Recreation and Physical Health Education.

Primary responsibilities will be to ensure effective communication with students, coaches and other programming stakeholders, reviewing attendance and roster records, managing team and activity logistics, supporting the collection and analyzing of data, budget tracking and processing of vendor payments, coordinating travel and match day logistics, developing student and coach support resources, day to day support for athletics events, programming and competitions and to, utilize department software to ensure efficient and effective scheduling.

The role includes ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety protocols, such as conducting risk assessments, reporting incidents, and managing emergency response procedures when supervising any activities. Additionally, the position involves participating in the planning and execution of weekly fixtures, student and community activities, and events.

The post holder will ensure the promotion of activities through various platforms, including social media, NYUAD internal communication channels, and collaborate with the NYUAD External Relations team for any external media coverage.

Occasionally, the coordinator may be called upon to support the broader functions of the Student Affairs division. Please note that this position may require evening and weekend commitments during the academic year.

The duties of this role may at times involve being exposed to data that may be sensitive in nature and require confidentiality.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- General administrative support in the development and organization of fixtures, activities tournaments and events
- Support space booking requirements and requests, organizes travel logistics and equipment needs and monitors and maintains records and materials accurately according to relevant policies and processes
- Effectively contributes to the department’s calendars and scheduling documentation alongside the departments booking and reservation system and other utilized software functionality
- Also supports the organization of Coach/ Instructor training and development
- Provides general administrative support that ensures efficient operations
- Using new and existing data sources, conduct data analysis in order to create comprehensive reports and presentations demonstrating the areas significant impact which can also be used to guide future work, generate opportunity for future collaborations and can be shared with stakeholders
- Support the collection of student and coach/ instructor feedback
- Teach a minimum of one Physical and Health Education course per semester, including curriculum development, preparation of lesson plans, monitoring of student attendance and participation and recording attendance and general communications
- Support the day to day budget tracking documents, vendor management and payment for each programming area
- Serve as an active contributor to University and Student Affairs Division-wide programs, including admissions events, new student orientation, student leadership training, athletic instructor and coaching programs, and more

Qualifications:
**Required Education**:

- Bachelors Degree in a sports related field (sports administration, sports management, recreation management, sports studies)
- Current CPR/First Aid/AED certifications or the ability to secure certifications or the ability to secure certifications before start of work

**Required Experience**:

- 2+ years of experience in a high school/collegiate athletics enviornment with a commitment to the integreation of athletics and academics
- 2+ years of coashing or equivalent experience (ie club coaching/intstructing)
- Extensive knowledge of and/or experience in sport and athletics
- Commitment to excellence
- Strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills
- Possess a high level of administrative and organizational competence
- Possess excellent decision-making skills
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in meeting multiple deadlines
- Ability to lead and work independently as well as within a team environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty, and staff

**Preferred Education**:

- Coaching and/or teaching certifications

**Preferred Experience**:

- 3+ years working in a sports organisation coordinating programs- A passion for sports- Ability to engage with a diverse student population- Ability to contribute to sports
