GEMS Wellington Academy Al Khail is a Premium National Curriculum for England School, located in the rapidly expanding Dubai Hills development. The Primary section opened in September 2013 and Secondary opened in September 2014. **The Post**:
This position is a fantastic opportunity to make an impact in the growth and development of The Academy at GEMS Wellington Academy Al Khail. You will work as part of the Primary Leadership Team to ensure the students at The Academy receive a world class education.

To do this, the Vice Principal will be accountable for providing professional leadership and management in the development of FS and Primary assessment so as to secure high-quality teaching, effective use of resources and improved standards of learning and achievement for all pupils. The Vice Principal will also actively participate in whole-school self-evaluation and school improvement planning and will be responsible for the coaching, mentoring and development of all staff.

**About the role**:
**Student Outcomes and Assessment**:

- Maintain clear vision, purpose and high expectations focused on student progress and achievement
- Lead on the development and implementation of internal and external assessment policies, ensuring it is implemented effectively, securing accurate data.
- Lead on external National Agenda and National Benchmark Assessments ensuring outstanding performance
- Oversee formative and summative assessments across the school and ensure the validity of assessment.
- Co-ordinate, timetable and oversee attainment and progress data collections for students across the school, coordinate data entry and present to PLT and other appropriate stakeholders.
- Support leaders in planning next steps and actions in response to data analysis to maximise progress including curriculum adaptations and interventions
- Ensuring that all data is relevant, accessible and used by all teaching staff to raise standards.
- Lead on the moderation of internal assessments to be in line with curriculum expectations
- Liaise with Teaching, Learning and Curriculum Leads, to ensure all students make progress, including those in vulnerable groups.

**Feedback for Success**:

- Ensure the effective implementation of the Feedback for Success Policy so that all children receive accurate and supportive feedback that moves learning forward.
- Ensure that feedback and marking is high quality and focuses on moving learning forward in line with curriculum expectations.

**Quality Assurance**:

- Lead, enhance and monitor the QA cycle to ensure consistency and accountability at all levels
