**Job Purpose**:
A Public Relations Officer is a specialist in building and maintaining the positive image of a company, organization, or client. Public Relations Officers are often the first contact for organizations seeking to reach out in an informed way. They ensure effective communication with stakeholders, objective is to cultivate a positive company image and safeguard the company profile advocating for the organization’s interest and developing a profile**. **A PRO is expected to have a creative mind and excellent communication skills. If you are also confident in your public speaking and project management abilities.

**Key Responsibility Areas**:

- They access and monitor their client’s online presence to prepare the right message to convey.
- keeping up with current legislation and meeting with local, state, and federal government officials and lobbyists in order to keep up with the latest changes. Additionally, you will be updating management on relevant laws and regulations in order to ensure that all stakeholders are aware of what is happening.
- They can also coach clients on the importance of self-image and how to communicate with the media. A Public Relations Officer aims to positively handle and communicate information internally and externally.
- Manage PR issues and inform the board management and relevant individuals of WSP block and company complaint on MOHRE
- Contribute to the evaluation and development of the HR strategy and performance within the organization
- Coordinate with HR & employee for Issuance / Renewal / Cancellation of Labour Card, Residence Visa and Emirates ID for WSS UAE employees and employees of Sponsored Companies - where applicable.
- Maintain electronic record of expiry of residence visa and labour card for all persons sponsored by the Company and give notice to all employees at least 2 or 3 months prior to expiry.
- Makes sure all PRO cards and company establishment cards are updated, and follow-up official approvals and permits, to prevent unnecessary violations. Maintain and take leadership of renewals
- Collect and give updates on employment labour law from the labour office to keep the HR office well informed for any changes in procedures and rules.
- Prepare monthly statements of Immigration & Labour expenses and submit to the Human Resources Manager
- Work closely with legal and PRO divisions to anticipate needs and tackle problems the organization may face and its cooperating clients maybe undergo. Provide the correct guided advice.

**Competencies Required**:

- Proven experience as a Public Relations Officer or similar PR role
- Strong communication ability (oral and written)
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Creativity and problem-solving aptitude
- Trustworthy, honest and dedicated
- Confidentiality - Interpersonal Skills
- Time Management - Communication Skills

**Educational Qualification**:

- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in a related field preferred (e.g. public policy; law)
- A foundation level of degree acceptable. MBA plus advantage
- **bachelor's degree in communications, public relations or journalism**

**Experience**:

- At least five years of relevant professional work experience as a PRO/ GRO

Salary Starting from: 6,000 AED.

Pay: From AED6,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
