Chef de Partie Pastry/sous Chef

**The Chef de Partie Pastry at Hunter and Barrel is responsible for crafting an enticing array of desserts and pastries that reflect the restaurant's distinct style. You will be part of the kitchen team creating visually stunning and delectable treats, contributing to the overall success and reputation of the establishment.**
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Menu Development**:
**1.** **Collaborate with the culinary team to design and update dessert menus that align with the restaurant's concept and seasonality.**
**2.** **Introduce innovative dessert concepts while considering customer preferences and dietary restrictions.**
**Pastry Preparation**:
**1.** **Create and execute recipes for a variety of desserts, pastries, and baked goods.**
**2.** **Prepare and bake items such as cakes, tarts, pastries, bread, and other sweet offerings to a high standard.**
**3.** **Ensure the use of high-quality ingredients and maintain consistency in taste and presentation.**
**Plating and Presentation**:
**1.** **Showcase desserts artistically, paying attention to visual appeal, portion size, and garnishes.**
**2.** **Maintain consistency in plating to deliver an exceptional dining experience.**
**Quality Assurance**:
**1.** **Uphold high standards of taste, texture, and presentation for all pastry items.**
**2.** **Conduct regular tastings and evaluations to maintain quality control.**
**Food Safety and Hygiene**:
**1.** **Observe food safety and sanitation practices in the pastry kitchen.**
**2.** **Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.**
**Creativity and Innovation**:
**1.** **Experiment with new flavors, ingredients, and techniques to keep the dessert menu exciting and fresh.**
**2.** **Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate them into the dessert offerings.**
**Collaboration**:
**1.** **Work closely with the culinary team to coordinate dessert orders with main courses.**
**2.** **Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless dining experience.**
**Qualifications**:
**1.** **Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role.**
**2.** **A culinary degree or relevant pastry certification is preferred.**
**3.** **Strong creative and artistic skills for dessert presentation.**
**4.** **In-depth knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and baking methods.**
**5.** **Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.**
**Salary**: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
