**Duties and Responsibilities of Accountant of Contracting Company**:

- **Must have 2 years UAE Contracting Experience With QuickBooks Software**:

- Managing the preparation of monthly invoice packages for all billable projects, including all applicable backup
- Performing cost analyses, reviewing purchase orders, invoices, and supplier contracts.
- Maintaining or reviewing accounting files and performing monthly closings
- Preparing/organizing various reports, financial forms, and analyses.
- He also helps to maintain contract documents, including all records of lien releases inappropriate files.
- He is also required to maintain the billing folders for all projects with the appropriate documents, including monthly waivers and invoices.
- A construction accountant role also includes compiling and gathering information for internal and external auditors, and also creating and submitting government reports and tax returns related to the project following all appropriate guidelines.
- Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies
- Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents.
- Guide accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
- Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions.
- Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results.
- Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
- Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule.
- Support month-end and year-end close process.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Contribute to a strong client relationship through positive interactions with client personnel.
- Communicate with Manager and/or Director on work status and client issues that arise.
- Prepare payroll

Requirements and Skills:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.

2. Two years related experience in contracting company.

3. Knowledge of bookkeeping procedures

4. Familiarity with finance regulations

5. Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors

6. Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)

7. Organization skills

8. Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.

9. Strong understanding of accounting, finance, and management principles.

10. Accounting: 2 year + QuickBooks

**Salary**: AED2,500.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
