**JOB SUMMARY**
The Senior Manager, Billing EMEA is responsible for coordination and management of Accounts Receivable processing across EMEA above property offices, including reimbursable billing related to Marriott’s EMEA regional offices and regional commission invoicing from local entities to Marriott affiliated parties and the related accounting and other Billing as needed in Marriott’s EMEA administrative offices.
A key element of the role will be to liaise with Accenture Hospitality Services (AHS) and other EMEA Finance teams as well as discipline leads to deliver quality support and process alignment across above property scoped initiatives and to provide recommendations for improvements.
**BUSINESS CONTEXT**
Over 10 years ago, Marriott outsourced some of its Finance & Accounting functions including Service to Cash to Accenture Hospitality Services (AHS) resulting in highly standardized business processes which have been adapted to the various administrative offices across the globe. Across EMEA, these adapted business processes are not necessarily consistent and oftentimes include manual workarounds. This creates the need for alignment and streamlining by looking at the processes holistically with the aim of simplifying and automating whilst still maintaining the necessary controls environment and meeting AHS’ requirements for further processing.
Marriott has been highly successful with transforming its finance operations, both at the hotel level as well as at above-property and headquarters’ levels. A key component of this successful transformation has been implementing and continuing to develop and improve the Company’s PeopleSoft ERP platform. Through a series of technology projects carried out in concert with business process transformation, the Company has reduced costs, improved accounting information quality and improved internal controls over a period of several years.

**EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS**
- Manages a team of finance professionals ensuring invoices for EMEA’s corporate offices are produced accurately and in a timely manner and according to Marriott guidelines and SOPs.
- Is the dedicated specialist for Marriott’s Billing systems including the end to end process of the OFB system and all configuration needed,
- Liaises with Accenture Hospitality Services (AHS) on OFB set-up matters including customers, charge codes and other configuration.
- Coordinates and implements accounting work and projects for all receivables/reimbursables within the Billing scope for EMEA
- Reviews processes across EMEA’s administrative offices and provides recommendations on process improvements and streamlining with strong focus on automation, fully understanding Marriott’s OFB configuration process and set up
- Builds partnerships and maintains strong relationships with budget owners, other EMEA and Global Finance teams as well as other stakeholders
- Keeps abreast with and liaises with Marriott’s tax teams on any Value Added taxes (VAT) requirements and VAT recoverability ensuring Output VAT is accurately recorded in the OFB systems.
- Keeps abreast with and liaises with Marriott’s tax teams on any Transfer Pricing requirements and ensures mark-up percentages are accurately applied and recorded according to established intercompany agreements
- Coordinate tasks and works with other departments; serve as a departmental role model or mentor; assign and ensure work tasks are completed on time and that they meet appropriate quality standards.
- Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Establish re-usable templates and documentation standards.
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Coordinates and implements work and projects as assigned.
- Maintains a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets. Ensures compliance with Marriott International Policies, as well as standard and local operating procedures (SOPs and LSOPs )

**CANDIDATE PROFILE**
**Experience**
- Strong systems skills. Peoplesoft, Power BI and Excel experience preferred.
