**Communications Executive Role**

Provide support to all Foundation initiatives with particular emphasis to the work of the relevant department.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Website updates.
- Manage the Department’s social media accounts:
a. Education Department:

- Instagram coverage for any/all external and internal education events.
- Create monthly schedule for posts/engagements aligned with the Education Department key dates.
- Education website design/thumbnails for LitFest education sessions/events, ADIBF, Virtual Sessions, ELF Caravan, Fringe and other education initiatives in coordination with Comms and Education teams.
- All education session presentation/slide formatting for the LitFest
- Liaise with sponsors, judges, teachers, librarians, students for Festival video interviews in coordination with Comms and Education teams.
- Liaise with comms team and videographers on deliverables

b. VoFG Department:

- Social media posting and community management on Instagram and X (FORMERLY KNOWN AS TWITTER)
- Create designs for social media accounts to promote the project and increase activity and student/teacher participation.
- Film Instagram reels and create lively engaging content for VoFG account.
- Social Media coverage for any/all external and internal VoFG events.
- Create monthly schedule for posts/engagements aligned with the VoFG Department key dates.
- All project presentations/slide formatting
- Liaise with comms team and videographers on deliverables

**Overarching Responsibilities**:

- Establish social media KPIs.
- Identify campaign insights and social media trends using data analytics.
- Work with the Foundation's Marketing and Communications Team to continuously improve by collecting and analysing relevant social data, insights, and best practices.
- Use best-practice community management, monitor, engage, and grow our online community and engagement.
- Oversee projects in accordance with the social media strategy and overall digital marketing strategy.

**Support year-round Foundation initiatives**:

- Provide support to all Foundation initiatives with particular emphasis to the work of the Education team.
- Encourage schools from UAE and GCC countries to participate in the festival’s education programme and/or initiatives.
- Promote the Education & VoFG Programme sessions offered to the schools and encourage registrations.
- Coordinate with schools to promote the school visits and Fringe all year-round (Education Department)
- Attend education and VoFG events and offer front and back of house support, as necessary.
- Take responsibility for ensuring effective communications with all Foundation team members, reporting on progress at regular Foundation Team meetings.
- Ensure that any issues are raised as soon as possible and take the lead on working with the team to find the best resolution.
- Contribute skills, expertise, and time to cross-functional teams requiring input.
- Work with the Foundation team to promote the Foundation and the EAFOL Children’s Programmes to schools and through schools to parents and families across Dubai and the region.
- Display a willingness to step beyond the boundaries of this job description when requested to do so in the interest of the delivery of the Festival.

**Reading for Pleasure**:

- Engage with all stakeholders in the initiative including parents, teachers, school management, students, research staff, where needed to support in project awareness
- Visit schools, as needed,to cover activities and engage with the team and build relationships in situ ensuring that the initiative is working as planned and feedback any information in order to effect changes or act on suggestions.

**Knowledge and Skills Required**
- Native-level fluency in Arabic, with an excellent command of grammar, vocabulary, and spelling.
- Good English speaking and written skills
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office as well as Canva or similar platforms
- A creative nature that loves brainstorming and storytelling
- Knowledgeable in SEO tools
- Team player
- Prior agency experience preferred
