About the Role

The **Head of Technology Infrastructure & Operations** is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, implementation, and management of technology infrastructure and operational activities across SSC, Schools & Service Entities. The role demands driving innovative technologies to enhance customer experience, establish an agile & scalable technology environment, and optimize IT operations for efficiencies.

**Key Accountabilities**:
**Technology Infrastructure Management**:

- Develop and execute a comprehensive technology infrastructure strategy aligned with the organization's business objectives.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust IT systems, networks, servers, storage, and data centers to ensure scalability, security, and high availability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess technology requirements and recommend suitable infrastructure solutions.

**Operations Management**:

- Lead and manage the day-to-day IT operations, including service desk, incident management, change management, and problem resolution.
- Establish and enforce IT operational policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and uptime, taking proactive measures to prevent potential issues.

**Vendor Management**:

- Evaluate, select, and manage external vendors and service providers to ensure timely and quality delivery of IT services as per technology procurement & vendor management guidelines.
- Negotiate and manage service level agreements (SLAs) and contracts with vendors to meet business requirements and cost-effectiveness.

**Information Security and Risk Management**:

- Support the Head of Information Security to implement appropriate controls to safeguard the organization's IT assets and data against potential threats and breaches.
- Identify and mitigate IT-related risks, ensuring IT DR capabilities are in place and regularly tested.

**Budgeting and Resource Management**:

- Develop and manage the Tech Infra budget including the Tech related school budgets, allocating resources effectively to support technology infrastructure projects and operational needs.
- Monitor expenditure, optimize costs, and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements**.**

**Technology Innovation**:

- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, recommending innovative solutions to enhance business operations and competitiveness.
- Drive technology innovation initiatives to support the organization's strategic objectives.

**Team Leadership and Development**:

- Build and lead a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Mentor and develop team members, providing them with growth opportunities and enhancing their technical and leadership capabilities.

**Qualifications, Experience & Skills**:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 17+years of technology experience with out of which at least 5 years in similar position
- Experience in working with a large corporate with multi country / multi branch set-up - with similar or larger end-user base.
- Well versed in core infra operations such as networking, telecom, asset management, storage, Business continuity/ DR.
- Experience in implementing / managing large ERP operations (Microsoft, SAP, Oracle etc. preferably SAP).
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, resource management, and vendor management.
- Good knowledge related to exponential tech (AI, Blockchain and IOT), hands-on experience and use-case driven experience is highly recommended.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals.
- Solid understanding of technology frameworks and standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
