**Chief Of Staff (CoS)**

**Role Summary**:
The strategy realization officer is a high-visibility strategic partner that supports the CEO and Excom with project management, strategy execution and provides them with the necessary information to ensure effective decision-making. The role provides the organizational and communication framework for the leadership team members to foster optimal collaboration, engagement, and results with internal and external stakeholders. The strategy realization officer lives in the future and focuses on long-term planning and projects to ensure the growth and success of the organization.

This is not an administrative role; it is highly strategic and facilitative one that requires a combination of focus and flexibility, as well as a willingness to play an active role. The role requires a highly resourceful individual with strong strategic skills, emotional intelligence, self-motivation, and strong analytical and communication skills.

**Role & Responsibilities**:
This director-level, full-time position reports directly to the CEO of the company. The position sits on the ExCom but is not an ExCom member and encompasses the below primary responsibilities and expectations:
**1)** **Strategic alignment**:

- Ensuring unit/functional strategies are in sync with the Corporate strategy
- Act as a catalyst to ensure any needed forums for alignment are well designed and efficient

**2)** **Strategy execution**:

- Manage Operational Calendar for the company.
- Play an active role in designing Business Operational reviews
- Play an active role in designing strategy plan reviews
- Play an active role in designing budget reviews
- S&OP meetings

**3)** **Preparation for, and facilitation of, ExCom, Group and Board meetings and decks**

The CoS is accountable to ensure that the meeting objectives are realistic, that preparation is appropriate and well-prepared. This responsibility is less about logistics and more about content and the SRO’s judgment about the appropriateness and sufficiency of the intended preparation. In other words, the CoS's role is to make sure the CEO and other senior Leaders time is leveraged most effectively in a meeting context.

**4)** **Coordination/orchestration of projects or commitments **that are directly involving the CEO and his direct reports. This responsibility primarily focuses on ensuring alignment among different stakeholders and, when such alignment is absent, recommending mitigating approaches. While this responsibility envisions the CoS “going deep” on a relatively limited number of projects, s/he would also need to understand the breadth of the projects within the CEOs purview. The CEO and the CoS would agree in advance on the schedule of projects requiring CoS involvement. Tact, diplomacy, and persistence are essential qualities in executing this dimension of the role.

**Skills and Qualifications**

Critical core competencies for successful performance in this role are:

- Strong digital Savvy with outstanding ability to design, build and deliver high impact presentations for board level meetings
- Highly developed communications skills and interpersonal EQ
- Results/action-orientation; project management skills
- High level of agility and strong enterprise mindset.
- Unquestionable personal code of ethics, integrity, diversity, and trust
- Able to successfully navigate within varying degrees of ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
- Strong strategic/financial analysis skills
- Willingness to work hard and take direction—but also creatively solve problems and act independently when needed.
- MBA or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years work experience
- Market research experience a plus
