**JOB SUMMARY**
As a Demi Chef de Partie at Peaches & Cream, you will be an integral part of our kitchen team, assisting in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes. You will work under the supervision of the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef to ensure that every dish meets our restaurant’s standards for taste, presentation, and consistency.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
**- Food Preparation**:Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards.
**- Station Management**:Manage a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring that food is prepared efficiently and to a high standard.
**- Quality Control**:Monitor and maintain the quality of food and presentation, ensuring consistency and adherence to menu specifications.
**- Kitchen Organization**:Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
**- Inventory Management**:Assist with inventory control, including the ordering and receiving of supplies, and ensuring stock levels are maintained.
**- Team Collaboration**:Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation and timely delivery of dishes.
**- Health and Safety**:Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, sanitation practices, and kitchen safety protocols.
**- Training and Development**:Mentor and train junior kitchen staff and assist with their development.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Proven experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or in a similar role in a high-volume restaurant or hotel.
- Previous experience in a beachside or resort environment is advantageous but not required.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and cooking methods.
- Ability to efficiently manage a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Skill in maintaining consistency in food preparation and presentation, with attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational abilities, with the capability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff.
- Ability to adapt to changing menus, special requests, and kitchen environments.
- A strong passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering exceptional dishes.
- Effective problem-solving skills, with the ability to address and resolve kitchen issues promptly.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and dedication to upholding the restaurant’s standards.
- Culinary school diploma or relevant certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, sanitation practices, and kitchen safety protocols.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
