Head Baker

Position**:Chef De Partie (Pastry)**

Salary**:4500 - 6500 AED all-inclusive depending on experience and qualifications**

Job Location **Sharjah, AE**

**Job Role**:

- Assist in the day-to-day activities of the pastry kitchen team
- Expert in Baking Artisan Breads (Sourdough, Rye, Multigrain, Baguette, Brioche, etc...)
- Lead by example as a hands on Baker Helpers ensuring the quality and consistency of all products served.
- Ensure that all food is prepared to the standards as set out by ther company
- Able to handle total Bakery Operations
- Control food costs by maintaining accurate records of all food ingredients for pastry
- Ensure that all menu items have their recipes recorded, costs tallied and updated on an ongoing basis
- Ensure that food waste is kept to a minimum
- Follow all operating procedures and identify and correct any organizational problems that impact the effectiveness of the operation
- Ensure that all health, safety and cleanliness standards are adhered to and correct any deficiencies
- Handle all special requests and guest allergies to ensure guest health and satisfaction
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required

**Requirements**:

- 20 to 35 years old Diploma in High School or Culinary degree/diploma an asset
- At least 4 years of experience in a Baker capacity or similar
- Knowledge of new trends in presentation and preparation
- Knowledge of basic food hygiene is preferred.
- Knowledge about the Breads, Pastry, confectionary and chocolate.

Contract length: 24 months

**Salary**: AED4,500.00 - AED6,500.00 per month

- Pastry & Bakery: 4 years (preferred)

License/Certification:

- Food Hygiene/PIC (preferred)
