**About the Job**

As an Engineering & Estimation Manager, you will present yourself as a strong leader to our technical & estimation team in the Middle East. The job holder will be responsible for running all daily operations within the department, securing a potentially profitable work stream for the business by ensuring that bids are prepared in a timely manner, are attractive to our customers, and meet the company's requirements. You will seek to improve competitiveness through innovative thinking, engaging all disciplines in the process of securing suitable projects.

**Responsibilities**
- Oversee and lead the project engineering and drafting teams in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
- Review and endorse technical submittals for client submission.
- Ensure documents and drawings are correctly prepared in accordance with standard formats and quality procedures.
- Allocate appropriate estimating resources to bids and ensure all bids undergo proper review and adjudication.
- Conduct initial appraisals of bid documentation and establish bid strategies from the earliest possible stage.
- Ensure that appropriately resourced bid teams are in place.
- Provide staff with guidance on their job responsibilities.
- Lead and direct the Estimation and Proposal process in consultation with the Project Manager.
- Initiate and maintain sustainable, profitable relationships with key clients and influencers.
- Approve estimation and tender pricing.
- Provide advice on customer expectations and incorporate these into estimates and tenders.
- Represent Firenor at marketing forums, customer contact programs, and other external forums related to business development.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on progress against plans, action plans, and potential threats.
- Commission surveys and studies to assess markets, products, and customer satisfaction.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- At least 10 years of comprehensive working experience in a similar role in the same industry in the Middle East.
- Demonstrate a good degree of leadership skills in handling a team.
- Good understanding of local and international codes such as the UAE Fire Code, NFPA, IP, etc.
- Ability to liaise with various departments within an organization to put together a well-studied and coordinated bid.
- Excellent communication skills in business English, both written and verbal, with good presentation skills.
