**Maximum Salary**: Up to 2,000 AED

The Zookeeper will be responsible for the care, maintenance, and welfare of animals within the zoo facility located in Abu Dhabi. This role involves daily tasks related to feeding, cleaning, and enriching the lives of the animals under their care.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Animal Care**: Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, and cleaning of enclosures to ensure their health and well-being.
- **Environmental Enrichment**: Implement enrichment programs and activities to stimulate natural behaviors, enhance mental stimulation, and promote overall welfare.
- **Observation and Reporting**: Monitor animals for signs of illness, injury, or behavioral abnormalities, and report any concerns to supervisory staff.
- **Habitat Maintenance**: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within animal enclosures, ensuring they are safe and suitable for animal inhabitants.
- **Assist with Veterinary Care**: Assist veterinary staff with routine medical procedures, treatments, and examinations as required.
- **Record Keeping**: Maintain accurate records of animal observations, feedings, and any other relevant information in accordance with established protocols.
- **Visitor Interaction**: Interact with zoo visitors, providing educational information about the animals, their habitats, and conservation efforts.
- **Safety and Security**: Ensure the safety of both animals and visitors by adhering to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
- **Emergency Response**: Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies such as animal escapes, inclement weather, or medical incidents, following established protocols.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience working with animals in a zoo or similar environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of animal behavior, husbandry, and basic veterinary care principles.
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and carrying heavy objects.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, or irregular hours as required.
- Passion for animal welfare and conservation.
