**Responsibilities**:
This position in Sargent & Lundy’s Consulting group will require you to focus on our solar and energy storage projects, such as the following:

- Owner’s engineering services for electric utilities and Independent Power Producers (IPPs) to support new utility-scale solar and/or battery energy storage projects. Common tasks include:

- Providing technical support during the grid interconnection process
- Providing technical support for component selection and critical review of key components with exposure to various Industry standards
- Evaluating EPC proposals to assist selection of preferred EPC contractors
- Reviewing EPC submittals including design criteria, major equipment procurement specifications, electrical design drawing packages, supporting calculations, commissioning procedures, key equipment test reports, etc.
- Independent engineering and technical due diligence services for project financing or asset acquisition of new solar and/or energy storage projects. Common tasks include:

- Evaluating and Reviewing Solar PV and Balance of Plant technologies
- Evaluating project execution plans from EPC contractors
- Reviewing project contracts including PPA, EPC, and O&M agreements
- Reviewing and conducting Energy Yield estimates
- Reviewing project CAPEX, OPEX, and performance parameters in financial models
- Assist in the evaluation of operating solar and/or energy storage assets, including O&M assessment
- Other job duties as an Energy Consultant may also include:

- Preparing and reviewing engineering deliverables such as reports, studies, and calculations
- Collaborating with teammates to define project execution plans
- Conducting multiple project simultaneously and ensure high standards of deliverables are met
- Interfacing with clients to understand requests and confirm successful project execution
- Preparing proposals for new business development opportunities
- Traveling from time to time to visit project locations and client offices.

Qualifications:
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (other engineering disciplines may be considered).

In order to qualify, it is important that you have 3+ years of experience in the solar and/or energy storage industry, including one or more of the following:

- 1+ years of experience in design of utility-scale solar projects in the MENA Region
- Experience in solar project diligence services
- Regional experience with owner’s engineering activities during solar and/or battery energy storage project execution is a plus.

Also extremely important are:

- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Experience in writing technical reports and proposals.
- Solid interpersonal skills and ability to work with and guide others.
- Project planning and leadership skills.
