**Job Summary**

Reporting to the MEP Manager, the Electrical Engineer is responsible for the site work inspection and for the quality of works at site as per local authority norms and international standards.

**Responsibilities**
- Review of Contractors’ submittals which include schedules, shop drawings, as-built drawings, catalogues, samples, materials submissions.
- Inspection of materials arrival at site.
- Inspection and ensuring that all construction activities areas are as per the contract drawings & specifications and comply with the quality assurance / control, safety requirements and terms & conditions of the agreement.
- Highlight of non-compliance with mitigation solutions.
- Checking and testing completed works before they are covered by the contractor.
- Monitoring, inspection and approval of day-to-day Contractors’ works, their planning and safety. Quality control program and execution of the contract requirements.
- Checking and ensuring that all measures are taken for site safety and the safety of the third parties at the site.
- Ensuring that health and safety measures are adopted and followed to the full extent, suggestion and instruction of additional safety measures, if required.
- Preparation of a list of critical items and its close monitoring.
- Attendance of weekly or monthly meetings with Client and Contractor to highlight the constraints and their solutions for the project.
- Evaluation of work progress, review and verification of interim payment proposals and invoices, including preparation of Payment Certificates.
- Review and analysis of variation proposals by Contractor, if any.
- Liaison with authorities and facilitation in obtaining approvals by providing letters, stamp drawings and being present during the inspections.
- Preparation of a snag list and follow-up for substantial completion of the project by the Contractor.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Skilled in using AutoCAD drawings.
- Familiar with applicable local and international codes.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work.

**Education**:

- Bachelor's (preferred)

**Experience**:

- UAE Electrical Engineering: 3 years (required)

License/Certification:

- UAE Equivalency Certificate (preferred)
