**GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION PURPOSE**

An IT Administrator is responsible for ensuring the stable operations of computers and communication networks, thereby providing end-users with technical support and efficient access to Information Technology Systems.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Plan, develop, install, configure, maintain, support and optimize all network hardware, software, and communication links.
- Manage security solutions, including firewalls, anti-virus, anti-malware, intrusion detection systems and user policies.
- Manage all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, hubs, Wireless Access Points and UPS’s. Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
- Set up new users’ accounts and profiles for employees and assist them with password issues.
- Monitor network performance, perform network design and capacity planning and provide performance statistics and report - LAN and WAN.
- Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts. Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services.
- Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
- Establish _Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)_ with end users. Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Perform server and security audits. Manage system data backups and recovery. Support or provide guidance to other members of the IT Team.
- Review/process all systems and technology requests in order to provide the most efficient service.
- Upgrade equipment, hardware and software, where necessary to ensure all systems are kept up-to-date with published standards and recommendations.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT or relevant field.
- Proven prior hands-on work experience as an IT Systems Technical Support Officer or a similar role.

**REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES**
- Excellent knowledge of Information Technology general controls, data and cyber security, computer hardware/software systems.
- Experience with managing data network and telecommunications systems.
- Experience with managing IT infrastructure including systems, personal computing, help desk, servers, and printers.
- Direct experience with managing ERP Systems, web portal, e-commerce website.

Product and order management on e-commerce website. Basic idea of sales/purchase operations.
- Ability to effectively communicate technology, infrastructure and process needs and requirements with all employees.
- Excellent trouble-shooting skills.
- Good verbal and written communication.
- Superior organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Highly motivated with a strong work ethic upholding integrity and confidentiality as core values.
