This role will be responsible for assisting in designing /developing software for tasks associated with measuring and debugging database performance in various cloud services and on multiple platforms. You will have a unique opportunity to directly collaborate with the Oracle database, database cloud services, and engineered hardware development teams, to improve product performance.

Activities for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure/ DBA (Database Administrator)_**
- Administer and troubleshoot complex Oracle database systems that serve as the backbone of the Business-critical Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Monitor and optimize performance of the database, plan for backup and recovery of the database, and allocate system storage and plan future storage needs.
- Provide Development and Production support
- creating primary database storage structures, designing and creating primary objects, modifying database structure as necessary for enhancements or performance, creating documentation, designing interfaces, database objects, and creating plans
- Provide DBA support with a high degree of customer service, technical expertise, and timeliness. Provide accurate and creative solutions to user problems of moderate nature to ensure Data integrity and user productivity.
- Analyse performance and investigate OS, compiler, network, and hardware issues that affect cloud performance. Regular collaboration with the development teams will be required to understand the features and to work towards improving product performance.
- Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs. Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment.
- Help to resolve architectural issues in the environment and database infrastructure
- Research, evaluate, design, test, recommend, and plan implementation of new or improved RDBMS, ETL and database tools.
- Exposure and practice at using the DBMS to optimize performance of large databases for enterprise use is preferred. Experience with an organization with a key 24 X 7 reliance on its database is desirable

- Strong Database Administration and SQL skills
- Operating system knowledge (Unix, Linux and/or Windows)
- Knowledge or experience with Oracle Multitenant (CDB/PDB)
- Oracle PLSQL, Java, Oracle 11G, 12C, App Servers
- Oracle WebLogic, Oracle cloud infrastructure
- Set/update database parameters or specifications
- Experience in Data dump Export/Import, Database migration/cloning, RMAN, Data Guard replication, backup/restore, patching, maintenance, upgrades
