As the Targeted Transaction Testing Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity of the Regulatory Reporting processes by delivering the Global Targeted Transaction Testing objectives. The delivery will be through testing transactions and validating they are reported correctly on regulatory returns. This includes the assessment of the accuracy of the reported data and that reports have been reported in conformance with the relevant regulatory instructions and associated regulatory interpretations.

The Target Transaction Testing utility is a new team who will primarily test balances and transactions included in key Regulatory Reports. This is a new role, in a new team, and therefore working dynamically and forming strong relationships with key stakeholders will be required. There will also be the opportunity for input into how the teams are shaped and collaboration across other regional teams.

**You will be responsible for**:

- Reverse engineering report balances down into transactions
- Ensuring transactions are properly aligned to report line items\cells as required by reporting instructions (Conformance Testing)
- Using appropriate risk-based sampling techniques to ensure the testing population is of appropriate size and spread to progress testing efficiently and effectively.
- Supporting with the build of a regional and/or Global Targeted Transaction Testing function
- Forming strong relationships with data providers to ensure correct and timely delivery of required transaction-level information.
- Management of a utility team based in India.
- Provide timely and effective updates to your regional and/or global stakeholders, this may include board level reporting and insights.
- Working collaboratively to realize synergies across regions.
- The jobholder will also continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology.
- This will be achieved by ensuring all actions take account of the likelihood of operational risk occurring.
- Also, by addressing any areas of concern in conjunction with line management and/or the appropriate department.
Requirements

**Qualifications**

**Experience & Qualifications**:

- Demonstrable experience and knowledge of the external regulatory reporting environment
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of Finance and Risk systems and HUB.
- Strong audit and/or control function experience would be desirable.
- Understanding and working knowledge in data concepts (i.e. data repositories, data dictionaries/derivations and data lineage) and underlying data controls would be beneficial.
- Experience of building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders (at all levels of seniority).
- Drive, motivation and commitment with exploratory skills and able to lead and motivate a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with proven ability to handle multiple outputs, operate effectively under pressure and navigate through changing priorities.
