1 To ensure hotel room quality by ensuring standards are met to maintain quality cleanliness and product ratings

2 To inspect all VIP rooms and suites prior to the arrival of guests

3 To randomly check guest rooms for quality

4 To play a hands on role with the cleaning of rooms in the case of urgent guest arrivals

5 To support, assist and cover the Housekeeping Supervisors and Housekeeping Coordinators roles in absence/shortage

6 To liaise with Front Office on anticipated guest check-ins, checkouts, room assignments and rooming lists

7 To encourage and use the guest profiles and preferences information to its fullest potential

8 To ensure all guests requests during the stay are recorded and auctioned timely and accurately

9 To ensure all guest lost property is recorded, tracked and kept as per SOP’s

10 To ensure the excellence in appearance of all public areas throughout the hotel

11 To ensure the hotel public areas and guest rooms are decorated with appropriate floral arrangements at all times

12 To supervise the work of the Housekeeping Supervisors, Room Attendants, Tailor, Laundry and Lobby Attendants

13 To ensure that the employees are using chemicals and equipment correctly

14 To assist all departments in questions related to Housekeeping and ensure at all times there is a transparent, smooth and healthy working relationship with all Operating departments, particularly Front Office, Maintenance and F&B

15 To assist with controlling and managing the use, receipt, laundering, longevity, storage, par levels, and financial cost of all guest room and public area linen

16 To assist in maintaining adequate and required pars of all supplies (printed, guest supplies, guest requests, administration)

17 To assist with undertaking, as a minimum, monthly stock takes on all Housekeeping equipment, guest request items, supplies, and linen, and investigate any discrepancies/losses, implementing corrective processes and ensuring sufficient stock

18 To coordinate with the Engineering the day-to-day operation and required repairs

19 To ensure Housekeeping storage is kept in a safe and tidy manner

20 To ensure effective internal training in order to maintain the highest grade of efficiency

21 To ensure that all employees are exceptionally groomed as per the SOP’s at all times

23 To be able to perform any additional scope of duties if requested by the Manager.

24 To attend the mandatory External and Internal training and follow the company training policy.
