Job Purpose: About the role The purpose of this job is responsible for the continued development of Road Feeder Services (RFS) strategies as a vital and growing extension of the Emirates SkyCargo network across all corners of the globe, enabling increase in annual revenues and managing 80+ suppliers. Supporting tactical initiatives ensuring we satisfy our customers’ demands with flexible, service performance and reliable solutions, ensuring focus on environmental sustainability and an efficient cost base, juggling the needs of all stakeholders whilst always ensuring that we are offering seamless customer support. What you will do - Through a profound understanding of the cargo logistics business, specifically road transport services, develop and execute suitable plans to ensure the operation is ready to deliver on Emirates SkyCargo’s strategies. - Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders such as Dubai Airports, Customs Authorities, 80+ local and multinational trucking services providers, Cargo global operations regional management teams, Procurement, Internal commercial teams at HQ as well as Cargo Managers on station, and relevant government authorities to ensure that development of our trucking capability within our UAE home market and across all network stations are fit for purpose. This includes but not limited to matching RFS capability to product requirements, facility sizing requirements, truck technical specifications, process design, and cargo handling procedures on (Ground handling facilities) and off airport (centralised warehouse facilities) - Develop strategic long-term capability & resource plan for the global RFS network operation, managing short-term tactical changes to ensure that SkyCargo’s resources consistently meet changing operational requirements. This includes the delivery of the implementation of an RFS Control Tower, management of outsourced workers and relevant contract management, development and. Identify opportunities to improve planning accuracy while meeting the complex and dynamic manpower and equipment requirement. - Drive actions around productivity and process improvement opportunities, through the demonstration of potential benefits by completing financially sound business cases with measurable targets for all recommended changes and investments. - In conjunction with Procurement undertake responsibility for planning and maintenance of the agreements, re-negotiating positions where and when appropriate to manage down risk and sustain profitability and productivity objectives. - Develop strategic KPIs aligned with organization goals. Focus on outcomes, risk management, and innovation. Foster collaboration with RFS providers for long-term sustainability. Transparent communication and periodic reviews for continuous improvement. - Engage effectively with relevant stakeholders around the adoption of emerging technologies and linked to sustainability and the effective utilization of data. Responsible from a business perspective for driving technology projects, including the effective management of invoices and RFS cargo servicing via the in-house STAR system.
