Restaurant General Manager

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities including opening/closing duties, managing the floor during peak hours, and ensuring readiness for operations.
- Ensure that all employees are properly trained and uphold company standards. This includes mentoring and developing key staff for succession planning.
- Provide guidance and support to department heads to meet operational goals.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels for all shifts while controlling labour costs.
- Foster a positive and motivating work environment, addressing employee issues, and encouraging open communication.
- Monitor and maintain high-quality service standards, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Implement customer satisfaction initiatives, using feedback to improve service delivery.
- Work closely with the operations and finance manager to create, implement, and manage budgets and forecasts for the restaurant.
- Track and manage the restaurant's financial performance, including revenue, costs, and profit margins.
- Monitor and control costs such as food and labour, using performance data and analytics to improve profitability.
- Ensure proper inventory levels, minimize waste, and reduce food costs by overseeing ordering and supplier relationships.
- Maintains patron satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing food and beverage service offerings.
- Assist the operations manager in developing strategies to increase revenue, including promotions, menu adjustments, or upselling techniques.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers, and contractors to ensure timely delivery of supplies and services.
- Ensures maintenance of equipment, facility, and grounds with a preventative maintenance program
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation standards, maintaining proper food handling procedures and ensuring that the staff is trained on safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with local labour laws, and other restaurant-related regulations including company and employee legal documents such as (trade licenses, permits, visas, labour, EID, municipality & medical insurance).
- Collaborate with marketing teams to implement promotions, events, and campaigns that drive business.
- Establish a strong network of public relations with the society (governmental organizations, participation in social events, etc.) to enhance sales and promote brand awareness in the market.
- Embrace technology and digital solutions to enhance guest interactions, streamline operations, and drive business growth.
- Responsible for misuse of any staff discount policy, POS system, promos, and voids ensuring adherence and authorization protocols are followed.
- Develop strategies for employee retention and reduce turnover.
- Promote ongoing evaluation and improvement processes to boost operational efficiency.
- Ensure to develop, implement and manage the risk management strategies and emergency preparedness plans.
- Establish clear guidance on using technology, including point-of-sale systems, reservation platforms, and customer feedback tools, to improve the customer experience and streamline operations.
- Collaborate with the senior management in implementing and ensuring compliance with all policies as per the company standards and objectives.
**Qualifications**:
- 3-5 years of proven experience as a Restaurant Manager for managing the FOH and BOH operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or related field preferred.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Has Guest portfolio & business relations.
- Proficiency in restaurant management software, POS systems, and digital marketing platforms.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including food and beverage service, inventory management, and cost control.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays and able to overlook 18 hours of operation.
- Well groomed, self-motivated, energetic and lead by example character is a must.
Pay: AED15,000.00 - AED20,000.00 per month
