**Job Description**:
Maximo Functional Consultant shall be responsible for providing expertise in the implementation, configuration, and customization of IBM Maximo, which is an enterprise asset management (EAM) software solution. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their business requirements, designing and implementing solutions based on those requirements, and providing ongoing support and maintenance.

Here are some key responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the role of a Maximo Functional Consultant:

- Requirements gathering: Collaborate with clients to identify and document their business needs, asset management processes, and system requirements. Conduct workshops and interviews to gather relevant information.
- Solution design: Analyze client requirements and develop functional designs that align with Maximo's capabilities. Customize the software to meet specific business needs, configure workflows, data structures, security settings, and integration points.
- Implementation and configuration: Configure Maximo software based on the agreed-upon design. Set up and maintain system parameters, user roles, security settings, data structures, and user interfaces. Perform data migration activities to transfer existing asset data into Maximo.
- Testing and quality assurance: Develop test plans and test cases to validate the configured solution. Conduct functional and integration testing to ensure the system meets the defined requirements. Identify and resolve any issues or defects.
- Training and documentation: Conduct end-user training sessions to familiarize clients with the Maximo system and its features. Create user manuals, training materials, and system documentation to facilitate knowledge transfer and support users.
- Collaboration and stakeholder management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, developers, and technical consultants, to ensure successful project delivery. Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders at various levels to ensure project objectives are met.
- Industry expertise: Stay informed about industry best practices and trends related to enterprise asset management. Leverage knowledge and experience to recommend process improvements and optimize Maximo's usage.
- Overall, a Maximo Functional Consultant plays a crucial role in implementing and optimizing Maximo for clients, helping them achieve efficient asset management processes and maximize the value derived from their assets.

**Qualifications**:

- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related discipline is typically required.
- Having a "IBM Certified Deployment Professional - Maximo Asset Management" or similar certifications offered by IBM will be a plus.
- A strong background and hands-on experience with IBM Maximo is essential. This includes implementation, configuration, customization, and support experience with Maximo modules such as Asset Management, Work Order Management, Inventory Management, and Purchase Management.
- Should possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to gather requirements, identify issues, and propose effective solutions. This includes the ability to analyze business processes, identify areas for improvement, and translate business requirements into Maximo configurations
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential to interact with clients, understand their needs, and effectively communicate solutions
- Understanding the business domain and industry in which the Maximo system will be implemented is valuable.
