Manage and oversee the development and maintenance of all Operations Department procedures that support the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP).

**Operations Procedural Support**

**Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Lead the development, validation, and update of operating procedures and program/processes related to procedures (including surveillance and periodic test procedures) such as Nuclear Operating Procedure (NOP), Abnormal Operating Procedure (AOP), General Operating Procedure (GOP), Emergency Operating Procedure (EOP), Surveillance Test (ST), Periodic Test (PT), Alarm Response Procedures (ARP), etc. to provide direction for safe and reliable plant operations.
- Monitor procedure quality to ensure useful and accurate procedures
- Confer with the Operations leadership to ensure that procedures are being developed in a responsive and timely manner.
- Liaise with Work Management, Maintenance, Maintenance Contractors and Engineering to ensure that Operations procedures that impact those organizations correctly reflect the interfaces.
- Oversee coordination with the Nawah procedures organization to ensure Operations procedures are aligned with Nawah criteria and requirements.
- Conduct technical administrative activities as assigned by Operations Director in central and/or the Operations Managers in central.

**Staff Training and Qualification**

**Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Manage and monitor coaching provided to Operations Procedures staff to improve performance.
- Oversee the critical evaluation of performance of individual Operations Procedures staff to develop necessary training to enhance knowledge and skillsets.
- Verify training programs provide necessary technical knowledge and skills to ensure Operations Procedures staff are properly equipped to succeed in their positions.

**Outage and Emergency Response Organization (ERO) Support**

**Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Support outage and/or the emergency response organization, as assigned, to ensure safe, reliable and continued operations; this may require shift work/off hours support

**Operational Planning**

**Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Provide input into the development of the Division’s systems, processes and procedures, as well develop and implement the Department’s systems and processes, identifying potential areas of improvement to ensure efficient, effective, safe and risk-free operations as well as compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor, control and report Operational and financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to the Department, to track performance and recommend corrective or mitigating actions.
- Ensure that all relative reports are prepared timely and accurately, and meet the Department’s requirements and standards.

**Health and Safety and Security**

**Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Ensure compliance to all relevant health, safety and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the Division/Department/Section by the delivery of the Health and Safety Management Program to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality services and a responsible environmental attitude.
- Ensure compliance with corporate requirements for adherence to policies, procedures and instructions related to Crisis Management and Business Continuity in order to continue mission critical activities.

**People Management**

**Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Manage the effective achievement of the Organization’s objectives by setting individual targets, developing and motivating staff, and providing formal and informal constructive feedback and appraisal - in order to maximize subordinate and department performance.
- Contribute to the development of UAE National employees in a manner which supports the objectives of the corporation and its Emiratization strategy.
- Contribute to knowledge dissemination/sharing in a way that assists with building internal capabilities of UAE Nationals where applicable and maximize their effective performance.

**Excellence and Quality Management**

**Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Ensure commitment to a culture of continuous improvement by eliminating waste, following operations procedures, practicing innovation, problem solving, and teamwork; complying with Quality Management System policies and procedures; providing and receiving constructive feedback, and striving to meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations.
- Ensure Commitment to the Nawah Fundamentals.

**Skills**:

- Diploma or Equivalent.
- 10 years of relevant experience, out of which:

- 2 years in a Managerial role, including experience in:

- Nuclear Power Operations.
- Refueling Outage (or initial fuel load).
- Start Up Testing.
- 4 years of Nuclear Power Plant Experience.
