As the Head of Communications within the Marketing division, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies to elevate Papel's brand awareness, engage our target audience, and drive demand for our payment solutions. Reporting to the VP of Marketing you will play a key role in shaping our brand narrative, enhancing our market positioning, and strengthening our relationships with customers and partners.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Develop and implement integrated communication plans that align with the marketing objectives and support the overall business goals of Papel.
- Lead media relations efforts, including proactive outreach, media pitching, and relationship management with journalists, industry influencers, and relevant media outlets to secure coverage and enhance brand visibility.
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing team to ensure alignment of communication strategies with marketing campaigns, product launches, and promotional activities.
- Drive thought leadership initiatives by identifying opportunities for executive visibility, speaking engagements, contributed articles, and industry partnerships to establish Papel as a trusted authority in the payments industry.
- Manage the creation and distribution of press releases, news announcements, case studies, whitepapers, and other marketing collateral to support brand awareness and lead generation efforts.
- Oversee the development and execution of internal communication programs to engage and inform employees about marketing initiatives, company updates, and industry trends.
- Monitor and analyse communication metrics, including website traffic, social media engagement, media mentions, and campaign performance, to measure effectiveness and optimize strategies for continuous improvement.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes impacting the payments industry, providing strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Serve as a brand ambassador for Papel, representing our values, mission, and commitment to innovation and excellence in all communication efforts.

**OTHER REQUIREMENTS**

**Educational Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or related field; Master's degree preferred.

**Competencies**
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or related roles within the financial services or technology industry.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful communication strategies that drive brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and compelling content for various audiences and channels.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Experience managing media relations, securing press coverage, and building relationships with journalists and influencers.
- Proficiency in utilizing communication tools and platforms, including social media management tools, content management systems, and analytics platforms.
