The Business Office Manager will work closely with the Global Business Enablement functions and support the Middle East leadership team including Managing Director, VP Digitaland other key team members to keep our business operations running smoothly. We’re looking for a dedicated team member who has experience in key business administrative practices, including accounting and human resources, to support our growing team. This role will be a key member of the team helping to set up our UAE base of business operations.

This role will be based in our new office location in Masdar City; due to the nature of this role the successful applicant will need to be based in our office most or all of the time.

**What you will do**

The day-to-day role at a start-up is never the same, but you should expect to provide strategic direction and implementation in the following areas:
**Accounting**:

- Act as central point of contact for procurement and payables processes
- Process local expense reports
- Assist with local payroll, accounting and tax issues
- Responsible for tacking spending and submit report to ADIO
- Point of contact as with Bank relationship and maintain local account management
- Point of contact with local accounting firm
- Manage fixed assets
- Other Ad hoc projects as needed

**Human Resources support**:

- Provide local day-to-day for human resource and employment issues
- Manage and maintain local benefits
- Provide compliance support
- Support team engagement activities
- Support recruiting efforts, including scheduling meetings and conducting screening interviews

**Site management**:

- Take the lead to set up the business operation in the office
- Manage the entire administration function and daily activities of the office, including arranging travel and scheduling
- Coordinate and organize office activities and prepare correspondence and documents
- Act as a primary liaison between the company, staff and management
- Monitor and maintain office equipment and stationery
- 5-8+ years of experience in Office Administration
- Background in finance / accounting is preferable
- Knowledge of Office Administrator responsibilities, systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
- Attention to details and problem-solving skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
- A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements
- Business level English and Arabic are essential
