**Job Title**: Restaurant Manager

**Job Summary**:
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety. The Restaurant Manager leads the team, manages financial performance, and ensures a positive guest experience. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of the restaurant industry.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Operations Management**:
1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth service flow.

2. Coordinate with kitchen staff, waitstaff, and front-of-house team to maintain operational efficiency.

3. Ensure that the restaurant adheres to health, safety, and sanitation standards at all times.

4. Manage opening and closing procedures, ensuring that the restaurant is properly prepared for service.

5. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely orders of food, beverages, and other supplies.

**2. Staff Leadership and Development**:
1. Hire, train, and manage restaurant staff, including servers, kitchen staff, and support staff.

2. Schedule staff shifts and assign duties based on business needs.

3. Provide ongoing training and development to improve team performance and customer service.

4. Motivate and lead the team, fostering a positive work environment.

5. Conduct performance evaluations, offer feedback, and address any disciplinary issues.

**3. Customer Service and Satisfaction**:
1. Ensure that all guests receive high-quality service and a memorable dining experience.

2. Address guest complaints and feedback professionally and promptly, resolving any issues that arise.

3. Monitor customer satisfaction through feedback forms, online reviews, and direct interactions.

4. Implement strategies to enhance guest experience and attract repeat business.

**4. Financial Management**:
1. Monitor the restaurant's financial performance, including sales, expenses, and profitability.

2. Manage budgets, control costs, and optimize revenue to meet financial goals.

3. Analyze sales trends and implement strategies to increase profitability.

4. Handle cash management, oversee daily deposits, and ensure accurate financial reporting.

**5. Marketing and Promotion**:
1. Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.

2. Collaborate with marketing teams to promote special events, seasonal menus, and promotions.

3. Manage the restaurant's social media presence, engaging with customers and promoting the brand.

**6. Compliance and Safety**:
1. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety codes.

2. Ensure staff adheres to all food safety and sanitation procedures.

3. Stay updated on industry regulations, trends, and best practices to maintain high standards.

**7. Menu Development and Quality Control**:
1. Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to develop and refine the restaurant menu.

2. Ensure consistency in food preparation, presentation, and quality.

3. Gather customer feedback on menu items and make adjustments as needed.

**8. Reporting and Communication**:
1. Prepare regular reports on restaurant performance, including sales figures, staff productivity, and customer feedback.

2. Communicate effectively with senior management regarding operational performance and challenges.

3. Liaise with other departments, such as finance, marketing, and human resources, to ensure smooth coordination.

**Qualifications**:
1. Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business, or a related field (preferred).

2. Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar leadership role in the food and beverage industry.

3. Strong leadership and team management skills.

4. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.

5. Solid understanding of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house procedures.

6. Proficiency in restaurant management software, point-of-sale systems, and financial reporting.

7. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

8. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

10. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
