Assistant Manager Group Finalisation and Audit

**Responsibilities**:
**1. Finalization, Reporting and Analysis**:

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Coordinate and manage the month-end and year-end closing process, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather financial information, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Oversee the fixed assets register.
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, and provide analysis to senior management for individual and group of companies.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate forecasts and financial plans.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget and forecasts, identifying variances.
- Monitor and analyze financial data, identifying trends and providing insights to support strategic decision-making at individual company and group level.

**2. Audit**:

- Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring timely completion and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Execution of internal audits, including preliminary surveys, development of audit programs, and performance of audit fieldwork and development of internal audit reports; follow up on internal audit findings and corrective actions.

**Role Specific Competencies**
- Bachelor in Commerce and Chartered Accountant.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in finalisation and audit with a proven track record of success in a similar role with strong IFRS knowledge.
- Experience in Big Four audit firm is plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proactive mindset, with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
