Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to join our thriving team. Reporting to the Director, you will play a crucial role in driving the sales of exhibition spaces, digital services, and sponsorships for a diverse range of international events. This is a pivotal position within the company, offering excellent career progression and a competitive commission structure.
Key Responsibilities
- **Lead Generation & Management**: Build and manage an up-to-date list of potential exhibitors and sponsors.
- **CRM Management**: Maintain and update the company CRM system (Salesforce).
- **Objection Handling**: Address and overcome objections throughout the sales process.
- **Sales Funnel Management**: Guide potential exhibitors through the sales funnel from initial contact to closing the deal.
- **Face-to-Face Sales**: Engage in both domestic and international travel to meet clients and present at third-party events.
- **Strategic Input**: Contribute to the strategic direction and development of exhibitions.
- **New & Existing Clients**: Manage relationships with both new and existing businesses to drive sales.
Qualifications and Skills
- **Experience**: Minimum of 1 year in B2B sales, preferably in a telephone-based sales role.
- **Entrepreneurial Spirit**: Driven and motivated to advance your sales career within a growing company.
- **Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective pitching and relationship building.
- **CRM Knowledge**: Familiarity with CRM systems.
- **Adaptability**: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- **Travel Willingness**: Open to domestic and international travel to meet clients and attend events.
