Job description

We have a new opportunity on a permanent basis with a major client in UAE for QA/QC Team Lead.

**Job Purpose**:
We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Team Lead to manage all quality assurance and quality control activities in line with the company's Quality Management System (QMS). This role is critical to ensuring that engineering and fabrication projects are executed according to defined quality standards, with an emphasis on managing risks related to the procurement and fabrication of equipment. You will oversee a small team, as well as contractors, to deliver quality performance across multiple projects, both onshore and offshore.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead and manage QA/QC activities for engineering and fabrication projects, ensuring compliance with established quality standards.
- Develop and implement a Quality Management System (QMS) that covers all project phases.
- Define, plan, and manage resources, schedules, and QA/QC processes for all projects in accordance with company procedures.
- Oversee a diverse team of QA/QC personnel, providing guidance and leadership on day-to-day project needs across various sites.
- Review and approve quality plans, procedures, and inspection/test plans, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
- Manage third-party inspection agencies involved in specific project phases, ensuring their work meets quality standards.
- Conduct regular progress and quality meetings with project teams and external contractors, identifying and addressing any quality concerns.
- Lead internal audits and external supplier audits to ensure ongoing compliance with the QMS.
- Track Quality Non-Conformance (QNC) reports and corrective actions, ensuring swift resolution.
- Prepare reports on the QA/QC system's performance for senior management, highlighting any areas of concern and project progress.

**Required Qualifications and Experience**:

- Degree-qualified Engineer, preferably chartered or professionally accredited.
- Lead Auditor qualification.
- Extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, with strong focus on QA/QC in engineering or project environments.
- Extensive experience in inspection activities such as fabrication, welding, Nondestructive Testing (NDT), and pressure testing.
- Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams, projects, and contractors under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
