Basic skills in microbiology, cell culture, and molecular biology (cloning) techniques for setting up and assisting with practical work/research in the wet laboratory.
- Performs monitors and supervises diagnostics test & chemical analysis of body fluids including blood, urine, or spinal fluid to determine laboratory results.
- The post holder will ensure that he/she will adhere to all the policies, procedures and guidelines, and that he/she is competent and skilled to provide quality care all time.
- Supervise the overall operations of the section assigned to him/her.
- Report incidents and occurrences within the department to Laboratory Director.
- Impart corrective actions and preventive actions for incidents and occurrences to administration, in order to minimize mishap/s.
- Facilitate orientation program for newly hired staff.
- Facilitate orientation program for newly assigned staff.
- Facilitate competency (after 6 months and yearly) and blind testing for all staff in the section.
- Facilitate inter-staff comparison assessment (yearly).
- Collaborate with the Head of department in reviewing standards of both CAP and JCIA.
- Collaborate with Laboratory Director for revision and improvement on workflow.
- Responsible in reviewing, maintaining and performing corrective actions for both daily IQC and EQAP.
- Review daily IQC for outliers, trends and shift.
- Coordinate with the rest of technologists for monthly QC monitoring for analytical imprecision.
- Review with Laboratory Director for corrective action in both failed and ungraded EQAP.
- Ensures analytical tasks performed meets quality control guidelines as specified in the laboratory methods.
- Responsible (or assign designee) for inventory and order of supplies and ensures availability of reagents and consumables at all times.
- Responsible to do the first review of all the tests performed in the section before authentication of the laboratory director.
- Responsible for authentication of results in the absence of the laboratory director and unless instructed.
- Maintains positive relationship with the medical and administration staff along with the patients and clients (as applicable).

**Salary**: AED3,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month

**Experience**:

- Laboratory Technician/ Technologist: 2 years (required)

License/Certification:

- DHA / DOH / MOH License or Eligibility Letter (required)
